There were those colourful photos of the buildings below..this one is of another type of building seen around Cape Town at times. Completely barricaded off and unfinished on the 2nd floor. 

The Auwal Mosque

The Auwal Mosque is the first and oldest mosque built in South Africa. The Auwal mosque came into existence in 1798 during the first British occupation of the Cape of Good Hope.  

LCBO

This is almost an exact copy of a picture the LCBO has in their South African Wine brochure. For some reason that made me happy... 

Colour filled

Another Bo-Kaap shot. This area we are in is sloping up the side of the mountain. Notice how low the clouds are?  

Bo Kaap

A section of town known as Bo Kaap. (or as the muslim section of Cape Town) I love how the houses are painted so colourfully. Reminds me of Mexico. 

Sea Point

A shot of a downtown street. (Actually we are located in the Sea Point section) The building you see is a hotel that costs R450 a night. (approx. R4.5 to $1CAD) The vendor is selling cigarettes, gum and candy.

Clouds at different levels coming off of a smaller section of Table Mountain. I love how some clouds look normal but the others around the mountain almost look FULLY solid. Can you spot Shell? 

Hide and Seek

Another common sight when downtown, on the highways or in the suburbs is people in the back of vans, trucks, on equipment on flat beds etc. 

Chico

I saw these EVERYWHERE! Each one was white and had the word "Chico" written on their side. Wtf. 

TTC - meet the Golden Arrow

Of interest to some. This is an inside look at the transit system of Cape Town. We are on a Golden Arrow bus. 

Mom and Daught.

Suzy and her mom sitting while we wait for the bus back to the Golden Acre mall. The guy beside us got impatient from waiting and I believe he left before the bus came. Later on that day we saw him downtown riding in a Taxi-Bus. Small world.

NFC - DFWI - WTF

This creature was in the Two Oceans Aquarium. They have not classified it so it has no name. WEIRD. This pic sorta creeps Jay out. 

Tenticlus

We saw these guys in the water of Hout Bay while we went to Seal Rock. I have only ever seen them once before and the ones I saw were small with short tenticles... 

@ the VA

At the VA Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa. These two robots move barrels etc, over the ship and to the dock. There is an oil platform on the left.

Pascale "posing" yet again! Suzy's mother, uncle and little Deborah are behind her. Maria is getting into the car. Maria told her mother, (after playing with me one day) that Suzy's dad was really nice. (Me)
